Description:MatLabs are balanced scenes setup to test and create materials. Currently there are three types. Hard surface MatLabs are the most widely used scene and should be considered the default. Cloth surface MatLabs are intended to test cloths and soft surfaces. The Glass-n-Liquids or Glass surface MatLab is used to test translucent and liquid materials, especially materials with caustic or SSS qualities, these scenes may take a long time to render due to the advanced settings required to test these qualities.
