The house I’m thinking of doing will be located in a clearing in a dense forest. It will be clearly identifiable as a man made intervention but will be a very delicate intervention in the landscape, almost as if someone casually forgot an object and this thing became a shelter… a house. Think of the hermit crab which lives in “found” shelters. Men as crab…interesting.
The images that come to mind while I write this are images of work by Andy Goldsworthy but I’ll probably tend to do something with a more machinistic aesthetic. Nevertheless I think it is important that this object be minimal in scope and in intervention.
