Old school animation

This is my Thesis project from 2001. I finally got the chance to share it with you guys. This was done with ACAD, rhino, and Max 3, and edited in premier on a PIII with 512 megs of ram, with a 32 meg video card. ha ha.

It's still one of the best CG things I have ever produced. Hope you guys like it!

And that is my snowbaording and getting beat on the Wave Loch. ha ha.

Re: Old school animation

I remember it, from around the time you won the 'Design Your Dream House' Contest. Interesting how with technology, thesis projects change, they are getting very high tech these days. In my day I was cutting edge, I did mine in CAD (Autocad 9 I think), plotted on mylar and air brushed colors on back and then a museum board vicinity map that lifted up to show view corridors to the project site. The project was situated in a neo-classical district, I called my thesis 'NeoClassical Revisionism' and it was similar to a conservative post modernism.

My point being, at the time everyone else was drawing by hand and I was the rebel stealing computer lab hours to complet my project in CAD and here early 2000's you modeled in 3D and and did an animation and now we have things like the Jubilee Church by Rendershape, what next? LOL
