Hey ME, good to see you. Personally if you have the trueSpace 6 family I think you are in good shape. On one side $199.00 is a good deal, but I wonder if it is a move of desperation on Caligari's part? I have stated my opinion already in a review:

I use tS because that only 3D software that I can afford. Although I can get other 3D software at black market for only $1 or $2, I choice to buy a legal 3D software that I can afford. That why I post this sale of trueSpace7.5 here. I hope others that currently use piracy software can also get legal software that he/she can afford.

Maybe I crazy because I select to pay hundred dolar for legal software when I can get Max 9 plus Vray for only $1 on black market. LOL.

You are not crazy, that is why I used TS for years, legit software. Just so many options out there and sales, price of software has really gone down. If you join the Daz3D platinum club they have specials a few times a year were you can get software really cheap, picked up modo 103 for under $150.00 before modo 301 came out, did a pre-release upgrade to modo 201 with a free upgrade to 301 when it came out for like $299 and in the end paid something like $450.00 for modo 301, or for a few more dollars you can get SoftImage XSI Foundation. Through Daz3D I got Hexegon for like $39.00 and Carrara Express for next to nothing as well.

Not saying your choice is better or worse than these, TS is a fuller package than all those except for XSI, I am just pointing out a resourse to keep track of for great deals. I fully support your stance on legal software, believe me, I was in the trenches with you for years until I could afford something else.

I used to member of Daz3D Platinum club for bought Hexagon but their download support was very bad at the moment (dont know how today). We can get several sale from Daz3D a years. Their sale are really cheap. But poor their download server not support resume download. That's why I not continue my club subscription (becasue my internet dialup connection is very bad and not possible for download big file because daz3D download link not support resume donwload). Lucky me one of my online friend that have Hexagon help me solve this donwload problem (Thanks!)

Arrgh, I think I missed modo for under $150.00 before modo 301 came out.

XSI Foundation require screen resolution more than 1024x768 (my max laptop screen resolution)

I continue use tS because already have old version and can upgrade with less dollar. But hey! They 8.00am PST to 9.00am PST on January 2nd 2008 trueSpace 7.51 special price is low than my upgrade price from tS6.6 to tS7.5
