Amazing photos. Thanks for sharing... They look like model, don't they?
Like CG almost... Meyer is one od the few if not only one whose architecture when built looks exactly like he draws it... d.sign -

Meyer is finishing a new opera near the river Tevere...and near the Augustus' Mausoleum. I think in March it will be the inauguration.
The white color let to appreciate all the gradations of the model, so it looks like a paper model. Those sails are very attractive. -

Yes they are. I am not a big fan of Meier's work, but you have to love it's purity and consistency. Also, it is very inspirative for CG art, but not so much exploited as Ando's architecture. Recently I bought a book on Meyer's Getty museum - it is loaded with great photos. It looks so powerfull with white plaster + white metal, blue glass + blue sky and travertine which catch the sun beams...

I just realized that we did a mistake concerning great architect's name. It is Meier, not Meyer. I guess I started this mistake, so my appologies to all of you and to architect offcourse... d.sign -

ooops...you are right about the name.
I love Tadao Ando's architecture...amazing works and very inspiring volumes.
Meier is on a different style, maybe a little bit purist. -
