Need help with ground cover and anything else you could suggest

Hey Everybody,

This is my latest WIP and I'm needing to get a little help on creating better looking ground cover. Right now I'm trying to just hint at a generic ground cover but I know that lariope (sp?) or some other type of dense, heavy ground cover will need to be shown. Any ideas on how to create a realistic looking ground cover and also, any overall feed back on how to make this look better will be greatly appreciated.
