Those are first shots from the new project I work on...
Again client impsed a bit heavy design... lot more wall cladding than I would use myself... but...
I will post updates and other rooms when I finish them...
As always, time was too short... preparing the scene took more than I expected cause I was waiting for partial inputs from client, thus making part by part...
WOW, Branko. What a beautiful work. I really love the wooden textures. The colour combinations of your work is really phenomenal. I like the floor also. The shaders are perfect of the articles in your scene. I just want to say that the bump texture which you given on the dining table. Seems to me bit high. There is no comments about lighting from me because we all know the you are really good with lights.....

Thanks guys... I get the feedback so there will be some changes... lucky for me, not too much and not too soon... but I will post some updates for those..
If I were being picky I would say that your pillows need some work on the couch and the map above the couch looks a little stretched but I quite like the table bump map.
Nice use of ies lights as said before......looks as though your also using vraylight materials as well and I would take a guess in saying that the lights above the table are illuminated by vray spheres rather than ies lights?
I am trying to work with this type of setup at the moment.....any advice on good use of ies lights indoors?
great work mate, it's always exciting to see another dsign work in the forums
Thanks people...
Mahorela,
the problem with use of ies with Vray is that you need to guess the intensity a bit. If you have combination of outside natural light and inside artificial light the task become a bit difficult since you need to balance those intenisities and avoid that it look unnatural.
This scene in reallity would be probably too shiny if all the lights were on.
So I put just ies lights in positions of built in spots. Other than that there is no light inside, just lightmaterial.
The lamps above the table are lit with lightmaterial and wrapper material that emmits light. Perhaps I could make them with sphere light, but the render time would go higher and I did not need so much light in that area.
Another thing about ies in Vray - not many of the ies files are really helpfull with Vray. Just few of them I tried that have enough strength to make a difference. Yes, you can increase the intensity, but that is just more guesing.
Also, this intensity depends on the units setup of your scene, so stick with real world units when using ies lights, it will save a lot of time...
Your work is fantastic as ever...Always a pleasure to see your works! No real comments as such...just one thing I noticed...if you make the whites of reflection map for the wooden floor a bit grey, it might look more natural...
