Recently I had a chance and duty to fit a little interior decoration excersize in my schedule... This was a favour to a friend, just an idea how to design new, soon to be finished, small appartment.
I made those renders, including idea, design, model and setup over one night...
You can see two shots of existing building site...
I will probably continue to work on this when I grab a chance... Kitchen and a bedroom also...
c&c are welcom, as ussuall...
Just keep in mind that this was for a low budget investment and very small space...
Nice work, the space seems much larger in your images partially due to the color scheme I am sure, and it also looks like the lowest part of your ceiling matches the height of the existing ceiling and that your bump ups go into the structure itself? I can't really tell a lot from the pictures of the existing, It looks like you were sensitive and are showing the thickness of the actual walls at your openings. It also looks like you did a good job of showing furnishings that were affordable, I think you did a good job on the space, color and furnishings. If those are walls of radiator heators under the windows, then I am assuming it gets pretty cold there and that perhaps an area rug or inset rug would make the place a bit warmer in experience and actuality, I love the wood floors, but they are cold on the feet on cold mornings.
The biggest WOW factor is that you did it in a night! WOW

WOW, Great stuff Branko. Nicely using the space. I Love the colour combinations with textures. Very nice soft lighting all over. Looks very realistic
The vertical strip on the TV wall is not going with this scene I think. There can be other different kind of lights. But it is my personal thinking. Hey you can change the apple texture.
If you want you can use this texture for your apple

Guys, thanks for the comments... Neil, thanks for the texture, I will try it!
About vertical strip lights, I like them as an idea... though they are not going with the rest because they are too expensive... but the idea to articulate the wall with strip niches with light is very nice in my opinion... Russell, I did not take precise measurments on site, took them from the project. Perhaps the height is more than actuall on my pics... not sure... if you look at the doors which are propper height of 205-210 with frame, it is ok...
About rug, I tried, but it looks odd in such small space... perhaps if it cover whole room... or some unussuall long shape... I tried and it just did not looked right...
You've likely said this in other threads, but can you tell us what programs/rendering engine you used in creating these images? You really set the bar with what can be done with the proper use of graphics software! Terrific work!

Thanks guys...
Brian, I use max+vray as rendering engine and lot of photoshop for postwork.
Thosea are done with rather low parameters due to a lack of time, which caused some blotchiness that is reduced with postwork and resizing of images.
But, no matter how good and clean rendering come out, it is always good to do some postwork to improve it.
