Re: river boat wips

First off, I have seen a wire frame of this model and it is fantastic, the community will be very lucky to get their hands on it.

I think the second shot would be the money shot, I just think too much blur on the background and the water makes it look like a model. The water I think needs biger overall bumps with small sharp perlin noise. With those two things I would say magnificent!

Not that they aren't great shots now, I just think the second shot deserves a tad bit more TLC and it would really be something to be proud off.

As far as what city, I am not world traveler, so I wouldn't hazard to guess

Re: river boat wips

Thanks for the comments guys...
Russell, I agree, those are quick shots, I had one day to make all those renders, including texturing and postwork... not too happy with that... but the background... well I had only three good photos and I left those clear... I used cuts from those to make background for other shots... so it was much distorted and I had to blur it... other reason for bluring it so much is that client was not sure if he want the actuall city scape to be seen or not...

City is Budapest, but I am aware now that it is difficult for non-European falks to recognize it...
