This is a project we are doing in the office. It's a medical park with general offices, MOBs, and a food court. I am still a newbie to Mental Ray in 3ds Max 2008. Any C&C always welcome.

Looks like a real cool project! These comments are aimed at the human POV images and not the arial. All your ground textures need work in my opinion and your people entourage's lighting don't match the scene, I would correct that or use black or white sillouette people. Trees aren't great either.
OK, I know that sounded harsh (They do call me 'Jerk' around here sometimes), but the buildings are working well and it is a big project. Just details, trees don't pop out of sidewalks, everything shouldn't look brand new... yada yada yada Nice work, nice project, cool design.

Good thing you live up north cause I'd give ya a swift beating if you lived close punk! Ahh ha ha. Kidding.
Yeah I agree with you in regards to your comments "Jerk". I am not too happy with the RPC stuff so far. Found a script to turn them into sillouettes though. More WIPs to come. I also found a way to put sky images with the MR sunlight system.

Yes, I get threats all the time, I give out my address, even offer to pay the cab fair from the airport, nobody ever shows up for their beating! LOL
Seriously it is a great start and a lot of modeling to it, did it start out as a Revit model, if so my condlences on having to work on the model and it all make sense now! LOL

Nice! you're doing good with mental ray. by the way, if you want to add more depth to your images, use ambient occlusion. Its a mental ray stuff too. good luck!
Hey Taylor, Lighting and rendering looks really nice. Using proper shades and material/textures your work can be more attractive. You can go for architectural and A&D material for it. The ground needs to improve more. Specially the grass texture looks very unrealistic. You can change the trees also. May be you can superimpose trees in Photoshop. There are no proper shadow for character. Looks like they are floating and I think you have to change the character shader also. I like the detailing of your work. Very nice.

Thanks bookins. I am a newbie and still have a lot to learn. I took your suggestion and used AO in my materials. See the settings I used. I am getting some splotches in the rendering though.
