Office Exteriors

Hi all,

I tried to recreate this office building from photographs. I need your C & C to improve it. (esp the glass, I am not quite happy with it)

Re: Office Exteriors

I think if you made the glass as spandrel glass is at the dark and grey areas (Glass with colored coating on back side that you can't see through) and then regular colored glass at the blue (or however this buildign works! LOL) you would get a better glass feel.

Re: Office Exteriors

Good job you did there... I think that blue glass should be more transparent and the other parts should have the glass layer over the opaque layer, as Russell pointed... Generally all glass should be more reflective, even more than in reality, that is what makes the archviz interesting...

Re: Office Exteriors

Indeed... if you give more reflections to that glass it will improve great!!
Other point... i think that those greens (grass) needs a litte bit of saturation...

Overall... great job!!

Re: Office Exteriors

Good job!!

Like others said, glass should be more opaque. You can try and place a double layer of glass, and give the one behind self illumination, and the one infront can be transparent. Also the grass looks bit overexposed, and asphalt texture could do more work.

Go to "User Control Panel" from LHS on screen. On bottom left, you will find 'attachments' under 'Miscellaneous'. You can delete your older attachments according to file size from there to free up your space.

Re: Office Exteriors

Looks nice. I think in your last image the sky looks overexposed and looks bit bluish. You can also shitchoff the lens flaire effect from the glass. You can use raytrace material for glasses

Re: Office Exteriors

Hey here's another update. Tried an evening shot with HDR lighting. I feel that the color is too saturated. Neil, I will consider your suggestions but i think v ray materials works well with v ray rather than raytrace materials.
