Yes, but if you could make something that worked the majority of the time and you could edit it manually the other part of the time, you would really have something useful.
Like this, a set of modifiers or scripts that you apply to any surface, vert, horiz, sloped..... and it applied a geometry, such as tile, shiplap siding, whatever. It would have the option to not to to the edge or openings so that you could perhaps extrude trim at windows and doors and capping at ridges and hips.........., it just seems to me like a great architectural feature, how about like a modified 'Greeble system that was ordered instead of random, even do patterns like brick, shingle, tile roof, you get me, I think it would be an awesome script/plugin
While at it a 'Roof Builder' plugin that you trace the roof outline in plan and tell it the slope and overhang and it makes the appropriate sloped slab and you can easily creat awesome roofs. May as well do walls and parametric windows........... I am never happy
But really why not have the basic features that say ADT/Revit have for creating architectural models inside of Max, because heaven knows the models from those programs don't come into Max very well

Actually I am probably going the wrong directionl the BIM programs should have better rendering solutions built in
