This is an update of a tensile structure that I worked on a couple of years ago and that they are finally breaking ground for it. It is going to be part of a mediation retreat resort. Currently I'm working on the look for the interiors. Although he really like this ( I wanted to go for subtle to bring the "outside in" so to speak.), the owner would like more wood in it. Any suggestions for furniture, color, etc. would be appreciated.
getting the mere context of the design, you need to add more naturalistic features for the structures and its components, say for the flooring instead of using the common wood parquet you can use naturals stone mix with natural wood... getting more creative you can arrange both of these to give a maximum natural ambiance, say partial floor will be natural stone ( flakes, pebbles, slates, then the the bed portion or main rest portion will be elevated wooden floor ( fwooden flanks flooring)
you can use also a logs for the base wall followed by the materials you use here for the upper portion. for the furnitures, natural materials can be used also. say for the bench you can use improvised wooden bench, or a bamboo bench mix with pillows and cushion. or for the table, you can use large stone as a base added with something flat for the top and vice versa.
anyway it just a comment and suggestion only, justification still lies in your artistic inclination....
Well the tensile structure is the way it's supposed to be (I didn't design it)and that is the type of floor that is requested.. That is it's design but thanks for your input. I was looking for suggestions more about the actual furniture types and color palette to be incorporated.
To me it kind of feels like a refuge off of a pool or something, very summer like, but as stated some more contrast of light and dark would strengthen that feel.

Interesting work definitely. May be you can use somewhere bit contrasty colour. May be some darker shades

subtle is too safe. go for a more contrasty choice, while not follow the owners suggestion of wood. have the lounge chairs in wood, something that would make it more relaxing. try wickerworks, rattan and stuff like those combined with cushions. I think that'll be fine as well. good luck with the mix and match..
