Re: Hi Rise Scene Practice

IMHO you have to decrease the glass reflection. You can treat the outside building as a nonreflective object and do some tweak with the lighting and rendering.
Nice modeling

Re: Hi Rise Scene Practice

Some thoughts:
1) Lens flare... baaaaad
2) Some opacity could be added to the windows to enrich the view
3) Search the web for more fre libraries or better yet buy some cheap...
You can start off here: Got3d Free Textures - Free Tree Textures
Just some PS work and a little masking. For free.
4) The motion blur on the cars is too similar.. use some more variation.
5) The scene could use a warmer tint in some places.
6) Use some falloff or fresnel on the reflection - now it looks like its just a colour in the reflection slot.
7) The neighbouring buildings distract from the main focus of the image which are undoubtfully the two towers. Make them less saturated so that they dont steal attention like they do now. They also should be a little dimmer as they are sitting further back. That will give the image a more sense of depth.

Modeling looks fine.
Cheers : )

Re: Hi Rise Scene Practice

I agree with the above said...
Glass would need more work, add transparency and falloff to reflection like real glass would have. Add something behind the glass, like floor slabs and perhaps some spotlights (just objects to fake real lights)
I would work on background objects separately, or use a background image which you can blur, and adjust in postwork. Or render the background objects separately and than merge in Photoshop, adjust the saturation, lightness, etc.

Re: Hi Rise Scene Practice

To me the scene seems kind of stylized, but then you get to the trees and shrubs which I think are really bad and hence hurt the scene considerably. The palm trees might be OK except for the fact that they are arranged to peak in the center of an already pretty much centered and symetrical scene. Good start!

Re: Hi Rise Scene Practice

Nice nice, hey if this your practice you are doing so good.

There a lot comments from the best people for your work in here to make your work looooooking good.

in my subjective opinion you really should change the tree. maybe you can use RPC or some free tree modeling (there is a lot link in here where you can get some free modeling for that you should try some).

Great job keep update.

Cheeeersss
