It is coming along nicely. What I would comment on is a design item so take it with a grain of salt. The sloped roof upper level on the right looks like an addition that didn't respect the vocabulary of the original building to me. I personally would not do a moder portion to a more traditioanal building if only in one place, instead I would do a bit of the traditional facadism up there like the end wall and some piers and parapet roof but then have large openings with glazing so that it looked like maybe you used the shell of an old buildig but opened it up and put some modern amenities into it. These are just thinking outload suggestions, doesn't mean you should change YOUR building, I am just stating what I would do.

Thanks Russell, I too have concerns with that area. I'm also not totally sold on the curved top windows either. It isn't clear that there is a deck area there. I need to check fire code to see what kind of fire wall separation I need between the units there as well. I'm assuming that I'll need to show at least a 3 hour one, do you know off hand?
You've given me a good idea on how to disguise the roof line. THANKS..... your ideas, comments, and observations are always welcomed.... I haven't lost any blood..... yet LOL.
I really don't know what area seperations and occupancy's you are using, but 30" parapet walls are necessary if you are breaking it up vertically and that fits in fine with the vocabulary of most of the building. Construction type is the other biggy, look at Type II-B I think, it is un protected and a jewel of an option for some projects and I think yours may fall into that category. Of course I haven't had to deal with real architecture for a year now, it is all fading away like a terrible nightmare! LOL
