It's actually called the Utility gamma/ gain shader. Oops! It's in one Jeff Pattons materials. I typically do the same as you though. My gamma is set at 2.2 all around and I typically use use system gamma when using image maps.

Re: Parking structure

I thought I would mess with a stylized approach as a test. I see D.sign doing it all the time so that's what I wanted to try and achieve.

Re: Parking structure

I like it a lot, better than the PR version I wanted to ask in the other view why a road runs into the back of the bus stop, it has bothered me from day one. Just curious, I tried to stay out of this one so that it didn't seem like I was picking on you!

Yes it is better than previous version. I like the stylization a lot.

Re: Parking structure

Hi, one of the main improvements you could make to the scene is better composition.

Right now, with most of those shots, there is too much road in frame. In the middle of the picture there is the building then right at the top there's a tiny bit of sky.

Try using the Golden 1/3 ratio/rule and have the building sitting in the lower 1/3 of the frame so there is more sky than road showing. I hope this makes sense.

I'm don't want this to sound the wrong way, but I find a lot of people over analyze technical things like lack of AO etc...when the most important thing, especially since these images are going to non-3d people, will be composition. It will sell the the picture if you pick a really good angle and have the building sitting properly in the picture.

But what you have is a very interesting building. I think the style in the last picture is a bit overboard and what you had before looked really nice and clean. I love where it's going though, keep up the good work!

LMAO!!! You think I'm hyper sensitive or what? I can take it pal. If I couldn't i wouldn't be in architecture. ha ha!

Yeah I completely agree with the 1/3 rule. The problem is that my boss often tells me where he wants the camera. I just brought the 1/3 rule up to him so in the future it will be addressed. Thanks for the C&C. I agree with a lot of what you had to say. It's appreciated..

You're crazy Russell. ha ha. How does that not read as a bridge? You can see sky underneath it.

Re: Parking structure

Hey There,

So here are some of the final shots of each of the three schemes. I decided based on my lack of experience and knowledge in MR to add a little bit of stylizing to the renders. Thanks for all the help! I appreciate it!
