Architectural Renderings - Architectural Visualization Showcase2D and 3D architectural visualizations. FINAL
Been lurkin around here for a while so I thougt it was about time I sent u some works of mine. well, heres the latest. fresh off the press.
The concept brief was "maritime inspired". I got photoreferences for the furniture. Custom modeled furniture was required, but plants and white chairs were library models. yeah, also that little ol' ship there.,free model.
anyways, this is the first time I've gotten results with Vray Sun/Sky that I'm pleased with. Never used it on a commercial job before. Also it was timesaver: 3 hrs and 20 minutes on 2000 x 1500 px!
The lighting is good. The chairs in balcony seem to be out of scale. Also, the lamp above the dining table draws attention and leads the eye towards it rather than in the room at the first glance. Nice work...thanks for sharing!

lighting is nice and a nice image overall but there are some scale issues here. Obviously the out of scale balcony chairs as Neha said but I also think there is something not quite right about the scale of your lounge chairs. Thinking maybe thats because of the way the balcony chairs are throwing me off but it might be worth checking the scale of all the furniture here just to be on the safe side. Maybe the lounges look too narrow.
Hey, nice post thanks for participating. I think most has been covered so far. I think an easy fix is to remove the outdoor furniture, it is destracting and maybe the decking outside isn't pine color but a neutral weathered light greyish brown and maybe the exterior doors colors more in tune with the exterior colors, they can be noticeable but maybe not such a strong attention getter, I think the rest would work pretty well. I want to comment on the fact that you did a nice job of filling the scene with items, that really helps an image and you did very good there, the keys on the table are a nice touch. Thanks again for sharing with us, our comments are only to try and help yo out

Nice Lighting and rendering and good composition
As everybody told about balcony chair looks out of proportion. The hanging lamp on the table also disturbing the work bit. You can remove them for your scene. May be you can add caustic effects for the bottle and the glass on the table .

Well, the scale of the chairs: now they're 1194 mm in heigth but should be 950mm. the width and depth is right. I'll be more accurate next time! the rest of the furniture is in scale, I've checked twice!
about the lamp, thats was the clients desicion, but I see what u mean.
Also, I agree on the texture on the terrace. Its a bit lowres, and the color is kinda lame. have to get me more good wooden textures! yeah, and those doors..well, I did not get any specs so I went for grey. Agree that they could blend it better with a different material.
Regarding caustics: If this was for my personal folio, yeah, sure, but on a commercial job, sorry, the budget on an standard interiorjob does not allow such insane rendertimes that nice caustics usually require. even with Vray.
If anyone got a tip for real fast, good looking caustics, I'd be thankful!!
anyways, thanks a lot, folks. useful feedback it is.
I will maybe do another render of this flat, but that depends..
I got no sparetime these days (and thats good for business, especially for a one-man-company like mine) but I will try to squeeze in some sparetime for some adjustments. we'll see..
