Architectural Renderings - Architectural Visualization Showcase2D and 3D architectural visualizations. FINAL
Ok, I am not going to complain that I did it in a rush... I took the time with this one, though not too much time, about 2,5 days... still not too happy with it... I will change the lamps by the mirrors... client did not made spcific request, I put those, but I think some with glass translucent shades will do better...
C&C are welcome as always...
Technically I don't think there is anything wrong with this rendering. On a personal note, the room seems under lighted and hence a tad depressing. Since the materials are dark and rustic I think more lighting would really help. Functionally if there was one recessed downligh over each sink basic, not only would i lighten up the room, but provide much needed task lighting.
That is all I have tgo say, apparently I tend to notice large wood grains and question them, they sometimes throw off the scenes scale to me and take away from the realism, all the other materials in the scene are gorgeous and the tile looks like you modeled them, so I have to ask, is that just Vray displacement mapping?
Very nice work ans usual, and I will ask one last item, what are those two white spots on the floor at each door jamb, light leaks?

Yup, you are absolutelly right...
The problem with this client is his approach to design, espetially the lightning, he takes the catalogue and choose what he likes, than implement it in the space wether it fits there or not...
thus most of his inetriors end up being overlit, filled with doesens of spots, strip lights, pendant lights and other types of light fixtures... This time he did oposit thing and did not provide the basic lightning for bathroom. The cieling central light is missing, the light in shower box and of course the mirror lamps are questionable, but that is my mistake...
I think that he aimed at the darker moody look... I did the realistic approach, no fill lights whatsoever...
The tiles are all modeled. No displacement, cause I had no precise texture... I think this gives me better control over the gaps... and eliminate problem of mapping the corners etc. Though you need to invest more time to do it...
As for the light leaks, yes there is a small gap behind the door at the bottom... since I am going to work on this more I was to lazy to correct it now...
Well now I know why I was so impressed with your tiling, you modeled them! LOL very nice touch, I had tried using Vray displacement for roof shingles and never came up with results like this, so your settings were going to me my next question, never mind, I am not modeling every shingle
Obviously the efforts paid off, very nice.

Branko, from the time you were given, i say its not bad. not bad at all... on the contrary it looks stunning with the effort you put in with such minimal time.
From my end, a couple of things to note... probably, just the splotches on your ceiling? i do see some splotches probably caused by your IR samples. from a composition point of view, i think adding some light fixtures on your ceiling would help it liven abit. i do understand that your lighting is inderect and some of them comes from soffits or so, however, the cove light that you currently have; i think you need a bit more of lighting points as for the circulation space. just a couple of thots tho.
other than the things i mentioned, i believe this is a great piece. great work mate
Thanks man... the problem with lightning here is that I had design to folow... but I will work on this for my portfolio latter and add some more light fixtures...
As for the splotchiness... well, generally, the IR is rather low on interpolation samples so it is a bit sharper but more artifacts, though I do not mind, they are dense, not big... I will increase the general sample value for next renders...
Great work as usual. Nice clean render and phenomenal lighting. I really love it. Great tonal variations.
