Architectural Renderings - Architectural Visualization Showcase2D and 3D architectural visualizations. FINAL
Hi guys!
It's been a while since I have posted on this forum, but I remember that last times I did, I received great feedback that helped improving my renderings a lot.
So here it goes... Below is an interior rendering for a reception somewhere in Bermuda. It's been finished for sometime, but recently I have made some adjustments to it, following the comments that I have received on Cgarchitect (I would have posted it here to, but the server was down, every time I checked)
Any kind of critique, suggestion or comment is highly appreciated.
The spot lights hanging from the left side of ceiling seem big in scale to me. Also the wooden texture tiling is quite obvious. Otherwise a nice & clean render.
A suggestion, since you have the blue strip light on on the reception desk, it will look better if you make the lighting on the front part of image darker. This will add more contrast to the image and also will help highlight the lighting on the reception.

I will make some adjustments according to your suggestion and see how it will look.
Regarding the lights placed on that rail, they may look big, but they have been modeled following specific indications regarding measurements, so that's the way they are in real life too.

Thanks again,

Alex

Well, the image is very nice as it is... but there is always room for improvment... so, if you are willing to experiment, I could suggest two things
1. Contrast, it could use some more contrast overall... as Neha pointed, that would help bring out the light strip effect more.
2. Light setup, generally it is nice, but kind of cold, not so defined, like you do the New York interior... since it is tropical seting, you could try to add stronger, more warm sunlight, making it shine through the openings, into the room, casting stronger shadows to the objects and thus making stronger contrast also...
Than, background and enviroment could be a bit bluish to balance the warmness of the sun... You can use sky and sun sistem in Vray, low down the sun to make a bit afternoon, sunsett setting... I did simillar, mediteranean setting recently with sun and sky... here... not so clean, it was rushed job, but I just showing you the mood and light setup
Hi Alex, Lovely work. I Like the ambiance very much. I also agree with Neha and Branko. In my opinion you can change the carpet texture.

Thanks everybody for the VERY helpful comments!
I have attached a new adjusted rendering, following your input plus some other small changes.
Although I don't think I will have time to tweak it further (as I have a big project with a tight deadline on my hands - I will start posting in the wip section soon), I still want to hear what you would do more to improve this image.
