Renders of Vizdepot challenge Lighting and Materials
Hello,
My first post here at this site, i have recently completed a couple of renders of a scene from the Vizdepot website by Jeff Patton and thought i would share them here for hopefully some feedback.
Re: Renders of Vizdepot challenge Lighting and Materials
Hi, Kathy. Welcome to the forum.
Your renderings are very clean and beautiful. You really did great job here.
The only thing that reveals the CG behind this images (I had to look long and hard to find something) are those palms in the background, because of their perfect cylindrical geometry. But that's really a tiny and trivial detail.
Hope to see more of your work

Hi All,
Thanks for all your kind words
I havn't had as much time to work on this recently as i would like, but managed to get some free time this weekend. I have changed the trees to a new 3d model and also added some wall lights, hope you all like

Hey, this is very nice work!
It is a bit darker, but I do not mind if you just darken up the background a bit...
Composition wise, I think the third image definitely work the best, with building in the right corner and vanishing point of the building lines is somewhere in the center of the image, while mountains move up on the left side... it is best balance in that image... With building in the middle you have odd feeling of conflict between perspective lines and horizontal position of pool and background... just my two cents...
