Those are some shots from last project I did.
It was quite tough as time was short, I had to finish it in 5 days with specific requests from client (cutting off part of the facade to show intervention on the interior) but it was fun and interesting.
Project had two parts, interior reconstruction of lobby and staircase that run through all the levels of house and exterior part that show reconstruction of the old Kotor city walls with terrace overlooking the bay...
After some time I had a chance to make some images that are not so typical and straight forward and I am happy about it...
Anyway, comments are welcome of course...
what an interesting approach and a natural for showing the changes. Mind passing along your material for the transparent wall with the lines of the edges and windows? really effective presentation indeed

Thanks Rod. Material is a bit of a trick. It is simple vray material, but in diffuse map slot it is vray edges texture with black color and thickness set acording to units, while in opacity map slot it is same texture but with color set to white... I will post the screenshot of the setting latter...

All very nice stuff, I actually like the outdoor seating with tent structures the best, it has a sort of ethereal quality. Great work on the informative imagery and yes I think we would all like to know how you set up the material that you used for the invisible part of the building, I imagine you layered it in with PS?

Very nice Branko. Only thing bothering me is that checkered floor, but I presume its what the client wanted. Really like the close up of the stair case with a view on the landing

Great Job Branko Looks very nice to me. esp the cut off views. But I feel that if the occlusion was toned a bit down. It would look amazing. But that's just me

Thanks for the comments guys!
The checker floor material is something client took from traditional Mediterranean architectural language (actually, checker pattern stone tiles are used as street pavement in old Mediterranean towns)... perhaps it is a bit too stylized here, I think it work somehow... Personally, it would be my last choice, but when I made it, I felt it is ok...
As for the wire material, well I will write a short guide, it is quite simple, I am sure someone covered it already, but I will illustrate how I used it for my goal. The vray edges texture worked so well actually that I used it directly in the render in some of the shots, did not have to make it as separate layer. Of course it is better to make it in separate layer cause you can control the opacity and color much easier in postwork.
Thanks... yes, lot of modeling work here...
I did it perhaps more than it is actually visible in shots.
The old house shell was quite difficult to model, more than details inside. The windows are rectangular outside, while inside they are arched. Wall under the window is not in the same plane as whole wall, it is deeper... so all that took me some time... Not to mention that windows are of different size and position on the floors... when I finished with this shell, other things just felt into place much easier...
