Back entry

This image is something I did over the weekend. It shows the back entry of my home and it shows a screen I'm planning on building in the near future. Feel free to crit and comment.
Software used was Cinema 4D (with slight grain added in Photoshop)

Is that the Froibel system?

Hey Yoo! Is your gridded window screen based on the Froibel system? The rendering is good, but appears a little sterile maybe, perhaps warm up the lighting, not sure? The lighting through the blinds and the light in general is good. I really like your sanded steel table top, or that is what it looks like to me, forgive me if I am wrong about the material. The plant is disappointing me slightly, I don't know exactly what.

Well this may have sounded negative, it wasn't meant to be, I think the piece is good and that you are at a level good enough for me to point out little things that I would mention about someone elses work. You are good and the piece is good, just a few items I noticed.

Nice Render

I like it, nice rendering, C4D always seems to do a nice rendering, how do you like the program for architectural work?

There's no real logic to the window screen. It's just laid out without any particular thought except to achieve a nice balance of forms and colors.

I agree that the plant seemed kind of blah...I'm currently trying out x-frog plants and so far I like them a lot.. You have to use them sparingly, but they look superb. I'll post an update soon.

This scene was mostly set up for me to get my feet wet with C4D. I've been using Lightscape for a long time and I think it's time for me to say good bye to it and move on. I'm not too happy about the way Autodesk handled the whole 'Lightscape being discontinued issue' so I decided to try a different company's product. Anyway, enough of that....

Designer, thanks, I really like C4D a lot. It's very user friendly and intuitive. You do have to put some serious time to learn all the features and even longer to read all the manuals, but it's starting to become second nature. (at least I think so)
So far I like it a lot for architectural work, the radiosity and raytracing engine is very fast. The program is rock solid and very reliable.
The scene above rendered in 32 min on my P4 2.8Ghz (1Gig Ram)

Download the demo and try it out, I think you'll like it. Let me know if I can be of any help or if you have any further questions.
