Stuart C - The Great 'Habitable' Wall of China
Our demands for a more compact richer lived experience has seen tft replace crt, records have progressed to cd, to minidisc and are now mp3 (practiacally the ether!), cars can park width ways in a standard parking space, and our phones compete in size with our pocket change. A wall, a hard boundary, once used to seperate and divide space is in itself becoming a habitable, breathable space. A space that lives and gives life. Following from this is the idea of The Great 'habitable' Wall of China. Its purpose wil be to house a community in much the same way that modern sky-scrapers facilitate a communities every need for life within a single envelope. - can you call this a residency?.
Sketches to follow.
My computer had a nuclear meltdown the other night so I am afraid for the next short while I will be using the local internet cafe for interaction with the web-site. My apologies if my contribution is a bit sparse until I get my computer back online.
superb competition by the way...
