Hi everybody,I'm glad to partecipate in this contest and here's my entry. I hope to be just in time to post it. Here you are few initial sketches (the side profile, a particular sculptural ramp) and a 3d proto-model of the guardian. I like to see it on the edge of a cliff, whatever on a rocky promontory. It could be a point of turistic attraction or an observatory. At this stage all is work in progress

Welcome aboard, Nice concept work...I like it...
You might want to change your subject to the proper naming convection
i.e. NAME - TITLE
I got to say it before the boss did

speedline, Man O Man! This is a very nice entry so far, great concept, sketch and modeling. A very strong start! Welcome to the competition, I really look forward to seeing your concept progress and evolve. Good Luck!

Also, the album/gallery will be for your final submission, all work in progress gets posted here in your as you have done so far.

P.S. Your color sketch works really well, nice work. Your English worked fine for me, if you ever have trouble understanding, let us know and we will try to clarify.

Hi, Kadious and The Allusionist... thank you for the encouragement. I did a mistake posting my first images and giving the correct title of my project with my name. Sorry..

I'm evolving the first stage of the concept, introducing a beam rounding element in contrast of the two tapered walls. I'm trying to obtain a shape of a boat, that could travel the observator into the sky..
Here you are few shots updated. Thank a lot for the possibilities that Your Contest give to us (to me particularly).

The software that I'm using is Softimage XSI.

Cool, I just bought SoftImage and am trying to learn texturing in it, a few more options than I am use to! LOL

nice modeling speedline.

i love the way you are progressing with the structure. a very nice and clean modeling.

softimage is my favourite software but hardly get time to experiment it. the modeling tools are gret\at and i know there are very few artist who actually manages softimnage very well. i think you have a good grasp on this amazing software.

are you going to create a night scene, this will look amazing with good architectural lighting...
