Hey, I guess I'm making my first post on a contest!

So, I looked through everyone's concept and sketchs and really got stunned at you guys great ideas and skills and decided to give it a try with something new, or at least that I haven't seen here.

With that in mind, I thought : what building or theme is not yet "taken" or explored in this contest.. finaly, after thinking doing a new olympic stadium, I was thinking about a library or an educational institution or at least a part of it that has drawn the attention of the public not only for his grandeur but also for his ecological "architecture". I also had the concept of doing a kind of archive or library underground with a glass dome as the main source of light.

In the end, that's what I came up with. Some sort of tower/building with could be the main portion of the campus with the dome in front, which could also reprensent an eye looking up at the sky in search of answer. (still in the theme of research and improvement based on the ancient ways and technique)

Am I on the right path? lol

Kind of like the 'Louvre' with a dome instead of a pyramid and of course the forms of the buildings different. I like it, good luck!

Sebastien, i like your concept. the sketch is nice and you got a very dynamic structure. although it's too early to say much on your sketch but would be excited to see some modeling. good luck, man

Great to see how everyone's concept is going. I've been away for the past 3 days but managed to play around with my structure form which obviously changed, I won't say radicaly but yeah it changed alot.

still unsure of what the surrounding area gonna be, and in fact still dunno how the whole building is going to evolve, if I'm adding this and that. still thinking.. But let's see what you guys has to say about this!

Sebastien, coming up nicely. yes, the structure is now changed little bit from your original concept. that doesnt matter much. but, you have show what special about the structure that makes it Architectural Wonder. will wait to see some more details, nice progress

I started thinking after my first model : what's so great about it.. I mean yeah okay it looks good, sophisticated style with allusion to more basic shape and traditional forms but deep down, it doesnt have any punch.

So I left the idea of a Library, or for now at least, and focused more on the surrounding of the main building and came up with the idea of a whole campus or research facility somewhere in the mountain, near a city. Where all the buildings are interconnected with footbridges. Another point I thought would be fun to bring out, would be the ecofriendliness of the structure and the fact that unlike most building, it managed a higher harmony with the surrounding (so you can expect moss on the building and alot of trees (i promise at least one for every building lol)) that said you might find some design built to retrieve pluvial water or alot of solar panel for electricity etc got some other idea i might incorporate if i have the skills lol

Overall I'm still working on the main building because I think it's missing something.. After that i got all the structures and supporting pilar to model and then we'll see how things go heh!

I think a network of foot bridges spider webing through the compound could be real cool, and of course your design can evolve throughout the process, it is good to admit to yourself you are not happy with something and play with it. Keep up the good work!
