Re: Brian Coates - Linear Array

I am incredibly [expletive] off about not finishing this.

A combination of things all decided to happen at once, so unfortunately my entry had to go on the back burner. It got to the point where I only had the last 24 hours before the deadline to complete all the competition milestones and the final images.

At 02:30 in the morning I finally decided that it wasn't worth killing myself over a competition, no matter how much I wanted to finish.

Oh well.

Good luck to everyone who made the cut. Some very impressive work guys.

I'm still interested in finishing this project, so could one of the admins move this thread to a Work In Progress section?

Re: Brian Coates - Linear Array

Thanks for that.

I think I might just start a new thread in the WIP section, since it's not technically part of the competition anymore.

Will post the link here when I finally get back to it.

Cheers.

Re: Brian Coates - Linear Array

Brian, we would definitely like to see all the entry in finished condition. NO matter whether the contest is over or not, oyu always keep working on your file and post updates here in this thread or you can make a new WIP thread. Will wait to see your final render

Re: Brian Coates - Linear Array

If you're still inspired and keen you should definitely keep going geckster (be it here or in teh WIP section). It's got an extremely strong presence and it would be an absolute shame to see it left gathering cobwebs (figuratively speaking). Heck, I'm still unable to switch off from it so you'll most likely see a few more little updates from me as well (not part of the contest of course). If the ideas keep coming you gotta give them room to grow. Plus it's good to see a fellow LW'aver here keep on going mate.

Re: Brian Coates - Linear Array

Yes, it would be great to see the end of the story, but in the meantime, you are welcome to share your other work and engage in discussions etc., especially on the software issues, since we do need more lightwawers here... I would like to invite you to stick around and I can personally promisse you some CG challenges here in near future, already in the store, so to speak.
And it is always interesting for us to have such tallented artists participate and to have diversity of software presented...

This entry could have turned out real good - I'm hoping you can finish it. It would make a good addition to your portfolio, so please go for it.
Sorry about you not making it tho', I almost missed out last year so know all about the panicky feeling.
