Architectural Wonder II ContestContest 'Work in Progress' Submissions
Hi 3D Allusionists
This is my new entry for this competition, after having shelved my previous one. Those who were interested in seeing the final render of the last idea will have to wait a while - I will complete it for the gallery.
The attached sketch is a work in progress and the concept will develop with time. I'm using the Citicorp tower in New York as reference and stats will be provided with or alongside the diagrams and renders.
3D visuals arriving soon.
Will have to see how it develops. I have something in mind, but it depends on the time available and my ability to render the concept. Textures can take a long time to create, and cities take time too. Want to do the best job though, so that may place restrictions on my ambitions.
I have a commission from a client that involves modelling a city on an island so I'm killing both projects with one strike - the surrounding scenery of this project being the main object of the other.
Mark, welcome to AW-II ... your sketch is looking nice, it's ina very initial stage and cannt be said much about the structure. would be looking forward to some more detail visuals and how you make it stand out as a wonder... good luck

Here is the plan view of the tower. Next I'll draw out the vertical spacing, the indents and overlaps, and then proceed with the 3D construction.
The little blocks along the side represent SUV's.
Mark, it seems you have spent some good time on it... will look great in 3d. keep up the good work
