Architectural Wonder II ContestContest 'Work in Progress' Submissions
I am going to try to pull off a literal merge of classical form and modern design. My theme is a typical romanesque column. I'll be taking two of them and morphing them into two office towers connected by bridges every few levels. I'm possibly thinking of having a glass elevator shaft up the middle. We'll see.
Welcome to the contest Timothy, it looks like you named your thread correctly and have accomplished your sketch milestone, nice work, I look forward to seeing it progress.

Thanks guys. I'm affraid since I'll be gone to Siggraph all next week I won't be able to work on it until I get back. I'm excited to get modeling though. As far as continuing with the "column" theme, I plan to take the common shape of a column and mimick that on the main tubes of the building in the actual shape (you know with those verticle ribs that go up a column). This will all be done with glass and metal (it's nice not having a budget). I'm really excited to come up with something cool for the bridges (similar to the petronas towers only more bridges) and the elevator.
