Yeremia Pohan - The awakening of Eden

hi all, im the new comer for this contest, and very interesting to see all your superb concept, so this is my time to describe what i want to design to you all.

The awakening of eden describe the sad felling from me when someday i walk in mytown and dont even see a single tree and park like i used to see when i still child, very sad to see big town with so many hi-rise building, and car but no tree and park. How do you fell bout that??

so from all that memory i want to design a green area full with tree and plant where the people can fell the fresh air without polution, and of course make the beautiful town. the main idea is make the vertical park in the city so it can become the symbol or icon from town, and describe the EDEN it self as the gift from God but being destroy by human .

Your concept sounds good tome...the strongest part is like you mention...given by god...destroyed by human!...a true sense much these days...

hi all, after draw and think now i can show you my design drawing...

i use the tower in the middle as the main structure of building combine with steel cabel to stabilize the floor ( i hope you can see my sketch clearly if not i will attach again later ), this floor function as park with various plant.

well now i talk about the philoshopy from this building form, i use the flower shape as the inspiration from this building, well it because i like flower and it suit the building subject about park. if you clearly see my sketch the shape of floor plan done unperfectly/ or not in perfect shape to describe that all people (human) never satisfied in everything they do , include us when we design something, he he. Or if i can say in simple way, when we not satisfied in very thing we done, we show to the world how unperfectly we are as a human being but we always continue our work to make the best for the best (you know life always cycling in life)

from the first time i made this design i want to describe the tower as main structure to show idealism of us, well eventough we, or me made in unperfectly shape but my idealism become my only perfect thing in my life (well this is my opinion, many people had different opinion about this,imagine how unique we are)

well this all my concept and sketch after brainstorming all this week, i will continue with modeling soon, i hope for your critique and support thanks for read...

Nice sketches and conceptual arguments...

just thinking out loud...i imagine this structure having it's own day/night cycle...at day it rises from the ground...rotating and elevating its floors, standing in it's final shape...at night...it changes it's floors positions...and prepares...for another night hiding into the ground...

maybe its too ambicious...but still that's what it got out of your initial idea.
