Michael DeGoede - "The Great Seal of the United States"

My idea is to have an “Architectural Wonder” with the theme being "The Great Seal of the United States"

The idea is to have a government office building (I'm not sure if it should be strictly an office building), resembling "the Unfinished Pyramid", with the "All Seeing Eye". It could be a building like "the Pentagon", but instead of being a pentagon, it would be a pyramid.

At the top of the pyramid their could be a glass atrium, I'm not sure if the glass atrium should be a dome or another pyramid (I'm leaning toward another pyramid). The atrium would be illuminated at night making it look more like the eye. Inside the atrium could be a garden, a courtyard, or even a small park if the building is large enough, why not think big. The building would be the tallest building in the world, the shape of the building would allow it to be much taller than most buildings.

On one side of the seal there is an Eagle with a Shield, this has to included in the architecture. The Eagle could be made into a statue (it would have to be considerably large to be seen very well) and place somewhere on or near the Pyramid .

Feel free to leave any feedback, without it the idea may go to waste .

I hope the concept sketches below are enough to get the idea across .

Welcome Micheal!

good to see you joined us in AW2...so far concept looks fine...will just wait to see some modelling updates...and if possible include some hand made sketches to illustrate some of the ideas that were only descripted by your initial intro...so the first milestones are covered well...

good luck!

Re: Michael DeGoede - "The Great Seal of the United States"

The images I posted earlier were made in Microsoft Paint, do concept images have to be drawn on paper or can they be drawn digitally, I haven't even started modeling yet, and I was hoping to have allready finnished the scetching.

Thanks for the comment, more are welcome.

We have been excepting digital sketches, it is nice to see something hand drawn digitally, but the main thing is schematic loose image to show off your concept so that we can comment if necessary on the concept of the entry.

Re: Michael DeGoede - "The Great Seal of the United States"

Okay, that's a relief , when it comes to hand drawing I haven't got much perspective. I used the line tools in Paint to keep my scetch lines straight, and keep everything even.

Thanks for answering my question "TheAllusionist", there are probably a lot more questions to come.

P.S. I noticed in your "Public Profile" that your name was Russell Thomas, I'm not sure how you want to be addressed.

I will go as far as to answer to 'THE JERK' as well as many other terms of endearment

I would just loosen up on the sketches

Thanks for the reply, "T.J." , sorry not funny. I'll call you Russell, that's what every one else seems to be calling you.

That is fine, that is my name, we are kidders around here, so I don't take anything personal. 'THE JERK' is a kind of inside joke and I take it as a term of endearment! LOL
