Architectural Wonder II ContestContest 'Work in Progress' Submissions
ILIUM is a loosely inspired / interpreted / transposed form based upon the interplay between three main “groups” in Homer’s Iliad. The Trojans, Achaeans and their Gods. The bases of the two pyramidal structures rising up, perilously slanted, represent the rise and imminent fall of these two great nations. The shard transfixing these from above is the influence / balance / order of their capricious Gods.
I have to say greetings to all faces new and old. It seems like eons since I was last here. A special thanks must go to Russell for keeping me on the mailing list. I would have never found my way back otherwise. Thanks Russell I look forward to another great journey here over the upcoming weeks.

PS: It's an animated GIF that for some reason seems not to animate here in the forum
Alan,
Good to see you again. Hey could you do a quick sketch so that you meet the contest rules. If you have to, trace over it real quick and post. The animated gif works once you view the original image, the one showing above is a thumbnail preveiw, once you click on it and the original opens, it is animated. Sorry, software limitations here.
Just quickly give us something, for your concept sketch, even if you PS filter something out of it and do some touch up by hand, time is running out.
By the way, good luck, I just saw that the deadline was close and wanted to respond quickly

Cheers pradipta & everyone else - yes it seems like a very long time mate
Thank you sincerely for such a warm welcome back.
Here's a little update. In keeping with some of my inspirational context / period I took the view that it should not look like something that's easily made / manufactured / produced so the way it's going it might not be so easy to model either. This is just a little facade / lighting / colour exploration. The three elements are a little more unbalanced since the original GIF. At this stage I feel there will be room for great open spaces with trees / gardens that pierce and flow through the structure in some unusual ways. In keeping with my interest in navigating spaces in weird and novel ways there will be a few surprises in that respect as well I think Hope you like it. Oh the last image is an animated GIF again.
