Talking Bounce...Sploosh!

10/10/10/10

Well then here I am. Just thought as I was new I would give a shout out to everyone and congratulate the makers on a very fine site.

Here I have found some great wonders and trophies of the digital age .

As for me I am a relatively new grad hunting for a career...In what I dont know...but 3D modelling and animation for both games and comercial verntures is a strong possibility as I have a shiny new found love for everything Maya.

So hello everybody, it is a pleasure to make your acquaintance

In tribute I mark the momentous occasion of my arrival with a question.

"I want to buy Maya training DVD's, which ones are the best in terms of quality and economics)"

Regards,

Mugan

P.s. working on proper avatar and sig etc....

Re: Bounce...Sploosh!

Hey there, I moved your thread into the Biography section FYI. Glad to meet you and thanks for the comments on the site. As for tutorial DVD's I haven't bought many, 3Dbuzz has interesting tutorials and the commercial ones I have bought that I thought were very proffessional were from 'The Gnomon Workshop'. We have some tutorial companies as sponsors such as 3D Palace and we just had 3D Gamics jump on board so you might check them out as well, although I haven't watched any of their products, they seem economically priced. Good luck and 'Welcome Aboard!"

Talking Re: Bounce...Sploosh!

Great cool I will check out those sites and see what I can find.

Just as well you moved my post cos I didnt really know where to put an introduction post anyway

I am expanding my research for careers into the field of 3D art, I am also spending some hrs working through a few tutorials and learning Maya...

I only have one finished artical so far and although I think it is good for a first effort it's is not a patch on what others have presented.

When I get a piece that isnt just the result of following a tutorial and i feel particularly proud of I will post it on this site as well as others.

But untill then I will leave it to the Pro's

Thanks

Re: Bounce...Sploosh!

Thanks

Well u may have a wait on ur hands, things are hectic in my little world, going through a bit of a life re-design atm, call it direction finding...ahh bless poor little 20somethings...but u will be the first guys to see what I can do.

On that topic I have been streching to find entry level work in 3D that would help me plant a foot in the door of gaming and comercial industries.

Im sure everyone asks this but as u guys here do seem to have the t-shirt u wouldnt happen to have any solid advice I could heed?

Best,
