I'm Brian Myers, an Architectural Applications Specialist with Seiler Instrument in St Louis, Missouri. In this role I teach/do implementations for Architects and/or their firms on the use of Autodesk architectural software including Revit, AutoCAD, AutoCAD for Architects and Autodesk VIZ.
I'm a regular in many forums. I'm a moderator for the small forum CORA (Congress of Residential Architecture)where they discuss the value of good Residential Design (I'm also a former Residential Designer); I'm a regular in the PushPullBar forum; I also am known as "Dilbert" in the AUGI Forums (Autodesk User Group International). In total, I've made approx. 4,000 posts in the past 2 years which makes some people call me a "Forum addict", but I prefer being called a person that loves design, tech, and helping others (but addict works for short. )
I found this forum doing a search for a specific Revit article (I'm a Revit addict after 18 years of AutoCAD and Architectural Desktop) and it so happened this was the first forum to list the topic. This site looks interesting and I look forward to making it a regular stop in my Forum schedule.
Take care and welcome to the first of my well known, long postings.

Brian,
Welcome aboard and thanks for introducing yourself. I really want to try and get the software specific forums going and have been trying to get some Revit and ADT gurus to hang around and get it going, so please feel free to stop on by any time and even promote your interest in CAD/BIM and design.
Hmmmmmmmm! Russell thinks to himself, how can we lure him away from AUGI?
Ooops! Did I say that outloud?

I'll be around if you/forum ever need questions answered. I know I drop in on a Forum called "the Swamp" every now and then to answer these kinds of questions as well as the Cadalyst discussion forums. I'll likely visit here a bit more often than those places because:
a.) It's more active.
&
b.) It discusses many topics I have personal interest in!
I'm surprised I've not found this forum before, I'm all over the 'net looking for places like this. But I'll be around here for certain and if you ever need anything (CAD/BIM/ or Forum related) feel free to ask, as I've mentioned I love to discuss topics/answer questions.
But get me away from AUGI? Nah... for those familiar with that Forum I'm an original CWCer, member of the Brotherhood, and newly accepted Reviteer. (AKA, I'm well known and part of the collective of both AutoCAD and Revit users and have met many of them in person at various training events.). But, there is plenty of knowledge/opinions for me to pass around.

Really these pics don't do it justice, you need to be inside it to really understand the experience. He's not a personal favorite of mine, but I still admire the career body of his work... and the Dana House is a totally different experience from most architecture I've ever been inside.

Hey Brian, wasn't serious about trying to lure you away from AUGI, just trying to make you feel welcome
I know, I know... after 4,000 posts you kinda figure that out.

Thanks a lot for the link Brian! It would be great if you could post some nice snaps of the Dana Thomas House. I am a big fan of FLW, I really hope I could personally visit some of his masterpieces...especially the Falling Water house.
