Stilllife with roses and satin (Digital painting).

hello everyone, this is my very first submission at 3dallusions. i do hope u all like it.

i was in a strong mood for oil painting (on canvas), when i painted this digital piece, so I handled it in a very similar way as i wouldve done my oils. i even forgot in the middle of the painting process that im sitting infront of my computer, with a pen (wacom tablet), in my hand....

I went for suggestions, with casual, spontaneous brushwork, though I kept the setting/environment very traditional/classical. Ive put enough detail that was required to portray the scene that i had in my mind. My goal here, was to capture various kinds of textures and their look/feel (softness, hardness, reflective, shiny, glossy) and I really enjoyed doing every bit of it....

No reference used. This is all self-visualized/composed. All painted in artrage – tablet.

I always love to see oil paintings. I have lots of oil painter friends. Your painting is really really beautiful one.
There is a software named Corel Painter. Fantastic software. That is the best software for painters in the world. You can use that for digital paintings.

neil, thanks for the appreciation. yes, i do know about painter and i use it often, will be sharing more of my digital paintings, done in painter, photoshop and artrage.

the above posted painting is digital aswell, i think u see it as traditional. as i do real oils too, so i just handled it like an oil painting. its painted digitaly, using tablet.

That is a stunning piece, more so since it really looks like traditional media, it would be a great traditional piece, the fact that it is digital makes it that much more intriguing to me. Welcome to the site and thanks for sharing, hey what took you so long? LOL (Inside joke)

theallusionist...appreciate you taking the time to view, admire and comment. thanks a lot. most of the time i love to handle my digital paintings as traditional oils, thats for my personal work. though i would share work like this, which is Impressionism, as well as my realistic stuff, hope u like the variety...thanks again. and yes..lol. i think its never too late mate, im happy im here....
