I think there is a big contrast in the amount of lighting your scene has and the implied lighting of your background. Did you use a shadow catcher on the image to get your shadows or add them after the rendering in post-production? You are getting there, it is a big undertaking modeling characters, so my hat is off to you on that What software was it rendered in?
