hi, sharing "Mountaineers - Before storm", painted using tablet in painter and photoshop, all from scratch. no reference used at the time of painting, but what usualy seen while going thru various images for studies and stuff, encouraged and inspired me visualize the scene. i kept myself away from using colors this time, i personaly felt more drama with the current scheme. this is the recent addition to the tonal sketches/paintings that i do from time to time....

Mood is definitely something it has to spare, sort of gloom and doom or apocalyptic feel to it, even though it doesn't relate to that and has to do with a storm, I am just verbalizing the emotions it envokes. Very strong piece.

Yes, apocalyptic indeed... There is a strong drama and a feeling of upcoming disaster... Unlike most of your works I saw, here it is some kind of prevailing darkness, drama is not achieved through visible clash between lightness and dark, between good and evil. Optimism and hope is far away, we can only anticipate it as we know after the storm there should be sun...
