Saanto's,
Very nice work. I think the real money shots were the musclature in the dinasaur and the flexing of the hand and fingers. Great rig work and deformers. The pace was fast enough to keep people interested and still show off. Nice quality work very strong show reel. Since it was for animating I won't say anything about texturing. Great work, so where are you working now, and I heard your visit to the states was a little scary! LOL

TheAllusionist,
thanks for viewing my reel and I appreciate so much your opinion about it. The dinasaur is a model gift by AAron Sims for the XSIBase contest, that I won last year. Yes the textures are not so accurate, it was not requested.
Now I'm working in Turin, in a company called Lumiq, www.lumiq.it that is tryng to do a film animation with Filmax. Scary, LOL. I like so much New York, but where I stay few days in the North part of Los Angeles, the scenery was not so good as first impact. Many problem to resolve:house, car...no friends/relatives to ask wich part of the city is safe or not. The big cities are so big for me, used with the little italian ones, LOL. Maybe I need a second time to try, LOL. Who knows?
Ah yes, me and Speedy make for sure a funny team: he builds and I move, LOL.
Cheers,
Saanto

I actually just bought Aaron Simms XSI book with that dinasaur in it, I also saw him at Siggraph and he gave a presentation at the XSI users meeting with some great stuff on movies such as 'Sin City'.
Great demo reel, I think members here have slow internet connection, they seem reluctant to download and comment on movies. I thought it was well done some great work!
Next time you decide to visit the States, you may think about looking into the Seattle/Bellevue/Redmond area. Since Microsoft is here in Redmond there are a few game companies around and a decent XSI community. Seattle is still decent size, but this is the northwest and it is more of a laid back liberal region.
Good luck with it all

Thank you very much, I hope soon to post new things. For now I can't show how is in production, but I can post more info about the future film of the company Lumiq.http://www.filmaxanimation.com/films/22.htm

I saw the pictures of the Siggraph on XSIBase. Thank for the compliments, I hope everyone can see it without problem of connection. The compression was very high to avoid a worse quality viewing it.
I'll keep in mind to visit Seattle next time I'll come in USA. You joke me on quite cities, LOL. Naturally I'll bring with me Speedy, or you won't to see him?LOL
Good luck to you too.
Saanto.

Thanks for the link, unusual style graphics, looks like it will be very stylized. Yes I kid you about quiet cities, but I didn't want you to think everywhere was like NY and LA! LOL Serously though, if you like the outdoors this is a great place to be. However, coming from sunny Italy, the rain around here may seem a little opressive And of course it would be cool to finally meet speedy

I think their goal is to stylize the characters. The trailer is on WIP, the new one will be soon on the web.
Yes, I know that all the cities aren't the same. The sun in Italy is always present...even in winter season too.
Why not to meet you in Italy?LOL We'll see. Thank you.
