Freak Spider

Here is a couple of shot of a spider i'm working on, and hope to animate, let me know what you think.

First off, I hate spiders, but this one is looking pretty cool. Are you applying subdivision to the mesh when you are done? Did I squish him?

I love Spiders..use to own one. Not sure if I want to go in to SubDs I might trace it with NURBS. Watch out there he goes!!!!

In Maya, you can convert polygon meshes to NURBs can't you?

No you can not convert them, But you can use them as a templete... It's a lot of work but it it worth it when it comes down to Text. and Anim.

Hmm, I could have sworn when Maya 5 came out, that was one of the new features, and it really interested me. Well then forget it, I am not buying the program it is a piece of crap! Kidding of course, I have nothing but respect for the program.

well I can't be sure about MAYA 5+, sad to say I'm still using MAYA 4

If you decide to go with nurbs, you'll have to show me how you do it. Sounds really intreging. I don't use nurbs very much, however; i should really start t o. They soundlike they can be a big help. By the way, that spider reminds me of a black widow, you using refrence images of a widow? Or, are you just sorta wiping one up?
