HI guys,
After a little brake I'm back with the beginning of the mapping.

The unwrap is about 40% done and I will do the mapping along the rest of the unwrap, this way it's less boarring.

I use Bodypaint 3D, very good software to paint directly on the 3D object, and there is a connection between Max and BodyPaint.

The color is a bit, I think, to bright but at the end in the final scene it will be kind of dark.

Give me some comments please

Thank's

I love the wear and tear and dirt and grime. What is the shaft sticking out of the upper ankle? Are you sticking true to the original?

Thx guys for the comment's.

Bodypaint 3D is fantastic for mapping, I can not imagine doing all the APU without that soft. I can easely multiply by 4 the time it would take me by doing this in Photoshop, object by object.

Here is a new update with the second leg mapped. For now I have just diffuse and bump map, later I will had some specular map.

Nice update Spline!! How does Bodypaint 3D work? Do you have to export your 3d model into the software or it works inside the 3D App you're using?

Wow! This is delicious modeling and texturing. I am very impressed! I really like the quality of decay and rust that you are working into the texture, very realistic.

Please keep us posted on your progress!
