Professional Publications
so for my english class i have to read a "professional publication" on my major.
my professor said a professional publication is a book talking about whats new in a certain field of study and it should be very in depth and full of words that quote, "i dont know." do they have professional publications for 3D art/architecture in book/PDF format? or do they just come in magazine form and articles... i looked around on google for a loooonnngggg time and couldnt find anything... just wondering if you guys had any idea....a free online book (pdf or txt) would be great... thanx

Doubt it unless you go for "white papers", in which case, do a google search on terms like "SIGGRAPH White Papers", that should bring up all sorts of boring stuff.

Hey Leon, I found this, it isn't free, and it covers mental ray and I use vray, so I can't say how good it is, but there is an online version and I thought it may be at least something that you could put to use after your paper is done...
