I like the bold red colors Nice connection with family history as well. If you applied some UV reps to your wood flooring if would look even better in my opinion, the texture appears over scaled Thanks for sharing on both accounts

man&mouse, like the concepts and the design. i think texturing needs some work, specially applying some UVW map as Russell mentioned in his post.

Hello everybody. I am new to this forum, but I have taken the time to read through this thread and I must congratulate you all for all the talent that is implicit in the submissions, as well as the friendly way everybody gives and takes critiques.
Anyway, I wanted to post my first render here, but I had a terrible problem with the scale of a texture, it really ruined the render. I hope to be able to post it later in the afternoon.
BTW I am a Shade+Silo user, and most probably, pretty soon a Shade+Silo+Lightwave8.5+Vue5infinite user

juanmanuel,
Welcome! Look forward to seeing your rendering. Curious about what you think of Silo? I wonder how well Vue and LW play together, I have Vue Infinite which is a great program, but the max/viz importer hasn't been real successfull so far for me. Looking forward to seeing your stuff

3DBLUE, looking really good, very nice. Could you perhaps post this in the challenge thread of the living room, it would help us keep things organized and help the participation of the challenge going.
P.S. I like your re-decorating
