Very quick reply;

I want to congratulate the winners on their well deserved victory. It was a nice and inspiring challenge.
I also want to thank the jury for honor of mentioning me for my participation. Something not expected or intended but it gave a good feeling. I will join more challenges. I like 'em.
I could not have thought up any text more accurate and to the point.
""...Hardest working...." , I guess they never would have thought to say that regarding me when I was still at school
I learned a lot and will surely join other challenges that bring out the best in me and everyone.

If you enjoy what you are doing, it is a little different that than geometry or similar. It was contagious to see all your post and how much you were putting into the challenge, it was a pleasure to watch We have another excercise going on if you have any energy left! LOL

Russell,
I agree....
And also I had a look at it: the towerchallenge,
but it is a bit out of my aim I guess but..and then:
you never know.
For the moment I am quite busy establishing my feel for
the Kerkythea Rendering System (GI-renderer in full development)http://www.softlab.ntua.gr/~jpanta/Graphics/Kerkythea/
And through their forum stumbled upon a "Renderer Challenge!"
from lakcaj Forum Guru
......that IMHO uses......
well take a look yourself: http://www.elysiun.com/forum/viewtop...asc&highlight=
...without mentioning that it is very (at the least)
similar to D_signs model IMHO ....not done.

Thanks for the link at the other challenge, they are obviously using D.signs model and I will ask him if he gave them permission to use his model, in the very least they should give credit to him.

Man&mouse, thanks for pointing this, i is very nice of you.
Guys, I do not know what to say!
They seem to took entire scene, change it just a bit (on worse) and make the chellenge out of it.
That lakcaj guy does not mention original author. He does mention that he "got the idea" for this scene at: than link here. But that was probably after Russell made a fuss at their forum!
I would not mind if he used furniture and put it in other context, or use furniture and change it's shape like 3dblue did here, that would be different scene. Actually, many posts at this chellenge depart more from the original scene than lakcaj's!
Don't get me wrong, I do not take this so personaly, I did give this model for free use after all. Just, this is metter of common decency! This is a simple scene, but set is specific and they reproduce it quite close, if not the same! Textures, lightning and color scheme are, however, derived from winning work of extraterroide. Black and white furniture, white walls, black frames on pictures, bright daylight...
Anyway, they seem to have no problem with this. They even gave me "late kredit". What does it mean? Eiteher you took the scene and then you must give kredit or you make your own original scene with reference to this one and then no kredit is neccecery!
