parva: that top right image looks fantastic. nice lighting coming in. i'd agree with you about the sofa material: purchased at a natural fabric boutique, organic and child-labor free, and just simply in bad taste!!
Buzz I like everything except the wood color in images 2-4, in post 34, looking good

Here is what I got so far. (rendered with ts)
ME, images in post 37 are looking good. Everything seems to have a greenish hue to it, another color somewhere might add some pop or even warm up the lighting color. Just my personal opinion on colors of course, that is subjective

I know it is a WIP, but I notice the lamp is casting a square light pattern on the ceiling, might adjust the light type and fall off so it doesn't present such a strong pattern on the ceiling

Hey you put a more traditional slant on the room I do notice a pretty strong lamp shade pattern on the wall that looks a little off, can you use a softer shadow map for those lights? How is Artlantis working out for you?

Russel,
Whenever I see an interior with wickerwork and a couch looking like that I can only turn myself in 'traditional mode' . Can't help it. Ok Maybe I will try in 'modern mode' also.
You are right about the shade. I should have paid more attention to it. In ArtLantis you can only choose between 3 types of light. The best one in this situation would be the pointlight. The only thing is that you cannot soften shadows with this light. You can only adjust the shadow intensity but the edges of the shadow allways remain sharp. I had to work out some sort of a workaround to avoid those sharp edges more or less. The nw render is in this post. Not a bad result considered these limitations I think.
I think ArtLantis is great. It's easy to use, easy to learn and very very fast. With that in mind you do not care about working out a workaround sometimes. Makes you very creative BTW.

I am having a hard time with the .obj to blender converision the sceene is coming into blender way to messy. its slowing down rendering I think. I just got the .lwo and it seems to import into blender alot better so I will start over. thanks for looking at my try, alot of these rooms look very nice.
