Re: Charrette #6 - Kitchen challenge

    Hi Everyone,
I saw this challange and thought It looked like a good scene to test MR new Importons/IR and promaterials.
I put on a couple of textures and use the supplied cameras.
Still needs work, hopefully I can spend some more time on it.

let me know what you think.

    cheers

Looking real nice, my comments woud be on first image where you have wall washer lights showing, but no light source and the brushed metal backsplach below it seems like the pattern is overschalled, I kind of like it that big at that angle but on the second image it shows weird to me. Nice work, thanks for sharing!

Re: Charrette #6 - Kitchen challenge

I need to put in some pendant lights hanging over the stove to match the light cast.
The Stainless steel splashback came up strange, I'm not quite sure
why that funny bump pattern shows up. Its a new promaterial, the stainless setting, I'm still trying to figure out how to display the bump in the viewport of these new promaterials.
Hopefully I have some more time to finish this off and add some originality to the scene.

    cheers

Those lights look familiar, are they from the Polsen site?
With a little volume the flowers would look really good, right now they look like paper cutouts. Colors are nice though.
You seem to have some time on your hands, run out of beans?

A bit of time, my beans are counted, now a waiting game to see if the bank agrees with them LOL. Chances are I'll have to BBQ them a while longer. The kitchen is changeing, you're right about the plant needing more work, but it is early in their development. The lights, can't say I remember where they came from, I'll check it out and get back 2u about them.

Thanks Russell, I felt it a bit lacking on content. I think this is a bit better of a POV as well.

Re: Charrette #6 - Kitchen challenge

I think it's the content that makes the difference, not the POV. But then again I didn't see what it looked like with the new content and old POV.
The texture on the plates is a little flat but other than that it looks good.
Did you model the apple with a sphere as a starting point?
