Neil Thanks for the tip. I just tried OceanWaves v-0.9 by Charles Hollemeersch. This is a plugin for max 6 but I was able to apply it to viz2006. I will try Ocean Luma too.
I'm still learning the best of it...here's the initial result;
water looks nice but very wavy and to me the colour would be bit darker. You can add dark clouds in the sky . There is a another good plugin about water of Dreamscape.

In this challenge, there are the many ones returned with so different environments that that gives desire for taking part. in a friendly way
Well this is my final set of renders. Perhaps it doesn't capture the "spirit" of the great bridges, but it gets about as close as I'll get with this project when it comes to design intent.
Thanks everyone, I look forward to seeing the fun...errr... the hard work everyone puts into this project!
About the only thing i would do differently is render them at a smaller size. They look a bit more "crisp" at their original size before I shrank them for upload... more like the thumbnails!
