Re: Charrette#10 - Holiday and New Year Livingroom Challenge No.2
Once again this is Branko's baby so I am only stating what is typical, he may want to correct my answer. They usually go for around two months and prior to that time we look at how active the challenge is and if we think it is warranted we may extend it, but you should plan on two months being the maximum time and have it done by then. We post official due dates once it has been determined, but the goal here is to have fun, improve your craft and receive feedback from the community.

Re: Charrette#10 - Holiday and New Year Livingroom Challenge No.2
Russell is right, the deadline should be within the two months from now, but the actual end of challenge depend mostly on interest and activity of people... if it make sense we can prolong it, or if it gets dull we end it sooner...
Here are separated files in .obj format that seem to work well in Max and Modo both... first the room and than furniture... you can merge those and check them with your apps... unfortunately you will need to separate objects since it is the way the export worked... I know it is pain in the butt, sometimes it looks like you could model it faster than make this preparation, but furniture is ok. pretty much useful for different interior scenes and once you guys prepare it, that will be good add to your libraries...
Admin Note: We have attached this to the second post as "livngrm2part-obj.zip" as well as provided a linked OBJ version that has all the parts separated. In addition a Viz2006 max file, WRL and FBX versions have been added.
Re: Charrette#10 - Holiday and New Year Livingroom Challenge No.2
We have been adding more file formats, but if you work out any kinks in ones we provide or want to share a new one with the community, please let us know and we will upload it to the first few post so that all resources are available in one area. Of course we will give you credit for sharing with the community.

Re: Charrette#10 - Holiday and New Year Livingroom Challenge No.2
There are some guides in first post of the challenge... ... this is mostly for people to test their skills and have fun, compare the work and share the knowledge and experience... we welcome different software and different approaches... Some basic structure of the scene should be maintained so it can be recognized, otherwise it is allowed to make adjustments, rearrange it, make viewpoint changes etc.
Some basic rules applicable to this challenge are explained in first post as well as in general administrator notes regarding all the posts on the forums...
You can also check out first posts of any previous challenge here...
Re: Charrette#10 - Holiday and New Year Livingroom Challenge No.2
Started some concept for the space.
It is sooooo WIP so don't mind the UVW of the zebrano wall... and the lack of detail.
I know that currently I'm completely closing your left eye with the DOF but it is not going to be that much when i put more details in that area...
Just having fun in the challenge and testing post processing in photoshop.
Crits and ideas are welcomed
