Keeping tabs on those who give the contest Exposure
I wanted to keep tabs on the sites that have given the contest exposure and helped get the word out so I can personally thank them. This will be an ongoing list of sites that have been kind enough to mention the site. If you are aware of a site that provided exposure that isn't on the list, please let me know and I will add it!

Jackson -- AFAIK, there is NO limit to what 3D SW you can use to produce your final 3D model for the contest. The only stipulation I am aware of is that the actual project must be produced in a 3D CG program.

You are correct, any 3D Software is allowed, you can use a free program like Blender or a CAD application, all the way up to the high-end programs. The only real pre-requisite is that the final is a digital 3D scene newley created for the contest by the contestant. We aren't snooty about software around here, I used (still do at times) TrueSpace for years, just finally got around to buying some high end apps like XSI & VIZ, so I appreciate the guy making do with a hobbyist/mid-level program as well as the professionals.
