    Funny Client comments on rendering

I am sure every one of us face this problem every now and then. After working hard for hours if not days and then getting such comments from client makes me really laugh... i dont know, sometime to cry as well
Client are very innovative in making comments.

some of my favorite comments that I received are:

"wow! that's looks great! only if you can put the tall cabinates on the other side, lower the sink by 1/2" inch, change the wall color to light beige (well, make one light green option) and ... and that would do for me..."

    another one,

My client has a problem with the wall color of an interior rendering. He provided me the color in RGB and because of the artificial light, the exact color was not recreated in the render. Now see the discussion,

"Hey, you changed the wall color..."

me, " I didnt, i used the same color code you gave me in your last mail"

"but, why it is looking so light in some areas?"

me, "it is because of the interior lights. it always happens. since the output light is the combination of wall color and the light color + intensity"

" i dont want that artificial light affecting the wall, put that off"

me, "it is not possible. you want me to remove all the light from the room, that will make it dark"

"remove the effect of the light falling on the wall"

me, " ok, so you want the wall to have the color code after reacting with the artificial light?, am I right now?"

"yes, that is what I was about to tell you.."

it, was really really funny. sometime, client donot consider that, the light may have an direct effecton the color of the object. I am sure some of you must have faced this...

I would definitely like to see what comments do you guys receive from you client.

    Enjoy...

    Funny story, Pradipta!

Once a client watching a final render on the monitor asked me to turn the POV dynamically of that picture!
I remained paralysed, answering: this software has lots of bugs!!LOL

    Mine was:

"Can you change the shape of this arch to look this other way"?
"That is the shape you get with this perspective. To make it the way you want I need to remodel the arch and make it crooked"
"I know, but I like it better that way"
I actually did make the stupid think crooked... the client is always right...

that's what make me irritated when client does not understand the preliminary concepts of POV in 3d. Nice one Silvia.

Re: Funny Client comments on rendering

Hence the problems with the 20th Century Fox logo - when they came to produce the animation of it in the 80's, they realised that the original designers of the static image in the 30's had completely messed up the persepctive on the '2'.

To get the final appearance for when the animation comes to a stop, they had to model the '2' abnormally - If you look at the '2' straight on, it should topple over it so imbalanced.

I was once rendering a trophy made in acrylic. I had the client telling me...don't use acrylic... you can create a material which looks like it. I was in no mood to explain to him how things work, so I told him fine, I will not use acrylic but rather something which will look like it

Good one Neha, that really made me laugh a lot!!!
At least I feel better that I am not the only one that modeled something wrongly to please clients... I just hope that they won't mention my name
when they use the image, or anybody with a brain will think I have no clue
    of what I am doing...

The MGC Chatbox Evo is really easy to use

You can :

  2. Format the chats :
  3. once you un-collapse the chatbox formatting toolbar by clicking on the BBCode button, you have access to different formatting options for your chats. You can format a chat by selecting a part (or the totality) of it and then select one of the buttons/list. You can also add empty formatting tags by selecting nothing and clicking one of the buttons/menu thus allowing you to add the chat text afterwards between these tags.*
  4. Access to the different channels : you can have access to different channels restricted to only some usergroupds or for specifics use of the chatbox. The different channels are accessible from the buttons on the left of the chatbox.*
  5. Edit your chats (or others chats) : the edition of a chat can be done by a simple double-click on it.*
  6. Use specific commands : some commands can be accessible in the chatbox depending on the will of the administrator(s) of your forum. These commands let you execute specific actions of formatting, management, etc... You will herebelow the information on the command which are accessible to you.
