.We can start a contest on SiFi . What do you think guyes.

I like the idea, but the problem might be that most of our active members are architectural visualization artist and might not want to participate in such an event. I have in the past at such places as CG Society, etc. and like the genre. The other problem as far as lining up sponsors is that if they were going to sponsor a sci fi contest, it probably would be at CG Society, etc. We kind of have to play to our strengths around here, that is how we do get sponsors. Will definitely keep it in mind, just wanted to point out the type of things we have to keep in mind when putting together a contest. Thanks for sharing your ideas. That is what we want, we may not be able to implement them, but we definitely want to hear what the community wants and try to respond

I realise this is quite old, but perhaps you could make it a Sci-Fi/Fantasy Architecture contest (Lord of the Rings, Star Wars, etc all have cool structures in my opinion)??? It could fit within everyones Architectural background while providing a change from the usual houses and office buildings.

Of course I am a hard core nerd, so...

On another note, when is the next Architectural Wonder Contest?

I have no problems with that, I just don't have the time right now to organize something, in reality the Architectural Wonder Contest gives you the opportunity to do what ever you want as long as it is constructable with todays technology. As far as AWIII well I have to figure out when a good time to hold it. Turnout last time compared to the amount of prizes was a disappointment to me, especially considering all the work I have to put into it, so we will just have t wait a while on that.
