Problem with 3ds max9 64 bits

I have recently moved to 64 bits 3dsmax 9 for one of my recent project since 32 bits version was not able to handle the massive polycount at all. Now when I try to do some part of modeling of
that same project in a 32 bits 3dsmax 9 it crashes. Is there any such thing like, max file created in 64 bits version will not render in 32 bits version? In 32 bit the modeling works pretty well but whenever i go for some draft test renders of even a small object it crashes immediatly. Is there any way to solve this problem?
